The Art of The Deal

So Elizabeth Warren sold out. She’s thrown all of her considerable integrity and hard earned street cred behind the the most notorious corporate Wall Street whore to ever run as a democrat for president.

She’s been tasked with doing Hillary’s dirty work. Climbing into the ditch to counter the short fingered vulgarian cheap shot for cheap shot while Hillary stands to the side and nods with her patronizing rhythm of tacit approval in a tunic worthy of a Vulcan priestess.

Warren does a great job, it’s easy work. Trump is the worst republican to ever run for president.  Awful in incredibly stupid ways.

Still, it’s hard to watch.

Elizabeth Warren, Al Franken, Cory Booker, Elijah Cummings, John Lewis, Sherrod Brown……..WTF is going on here? These alleged champions of progressive principles, pillars of social justice, shrink and skulk away when given the opportunity to advocate for the ultimate standard bearer of everything they’ve staked their reputations and careers upon.

It’s breathtakingly craven.

These few elected representatives, including and especially Warren, could have easily facilitated the nomination of the best candidate to ever run in my lifetime.  But they didn’t.

Goddamn cowards.

The DNC has rejected medicare for all, a $15 an hour minimum wage, a carbon tax, a ban on fracking, the expansion of solar power and will not commit to defeating the TPP.

Since Wasserman Schultz became chair of The DNC we’ve lost over nine hundred state legislature seats, twelve governor seats, sixty nine house seats and thirteen senate seats.  She initially scheduled six debates at the worst time possible for likely viewers and ended restrictions on lobbyist and PAC donations to benefit Hillary in the face of a Bernie threat.

This is your brain on the democratic party.

If this collection of malingering invertebrates were still in possession of their own dignity, the opportunity to smash the asphyxiating rule of establishment governance would have prevailed.  A walk in the park, despite media bias and despite a deliberately arcane and archaic voting process.

It’s elementary, Trump is the most beatable republican douchenozzle to run for president ever. He’s an idiot and he celebrates it.

This is the best opportunity we’ve had in decades to elect a true, FDR-progressive brand of democrat.

Instead, we are forced to choose between two candidates under investigation for fraud and criminal malfeasance. Two candidates more interested in winning than governing.  Two candidates that are the most unpopular in our history.  Two candidates that are on record lying over and over and over.

Our first woman president will be a pyrrhic victory.

Just the other day, the state department asked for a delay in making some fourteen thousand emails between Clinton state department aids and Clinton Foundation operatives available to the public for over two years.

Goddamn Hillary is filthy.

Pee Wee Herman could beat a jackass like Trump with this this kind of machine behind him.

It has been said that this election is about authenticity.

I’m hard pressed to imagine anything more ironic.

Drinks for my friends.

The band is The Gotohells.  Produced recorded and mixed by me and Alex Reed at Panda Studios in Clearwater Florida.  Punk rock with rockabilly seasoning.  The drummer remains one of my best long distance friends that I haven’t seen in twenty years.  He played on the first record I ever produced and engineered, “Punkrockacademyfightsong” by Down By Law.  They picked us from the Orlando airport and there was a cold six pack of Budweiser talls in the back seat.  They took their hats off when Skynyrd came on the radio and took us to the original Hooters for lunch.

goddamn I love that song. Haven’t listened to that record in a long time, got to dig it out. Too bad about the political horseshit going on theses days. It was always more fun to call the men ‘cunts’ than it is to call the first female prez that even tho she’s sitting on one. Lets call her ‘Big Dick Hillary’ for she rules (or will) with her cock.

  • Cathy Rouse Page:

Great music! I listened twice. I will have to revisit this post, just to enjoy it some more. Thanks for sharing it.

Excellent blogpost, too. Michael, I reckon I have told you that I have narcolepsy. REM sleep disorder, among other ghastly symptomology. It has made for extremely vivid dreams, often with nightmarish overtones. I remind you, because that is exactly how I feel, every single day, with eyes wide open. Like a fucking nightmare with no escape. No way forward, into the light.

My momma didn’t raise me to be a quitter. Nor a coward. Nor to be taken as a fool. She raised me to persevere, even in the face of disaster. So, I will be in my tiny corner of the planet, trying to shake the horrors from my brain. I could use a drink or two.

HI CATHY, YOU DON’T KNOW ME, BUT YOUR CONDITION SOUNDS CHALLENGING YET ALSO INTERESTING, PERHAPS YOU COULD DO RESEARCH ON DREAM INTERPRETATION, OR SOMETHING? I WISH I COULD SLEEP MORE, THE WORLD IS NOT A FUN PLACE TO LIVE IN. I AM FORCED TO USE TONS OF SLEEP RX, JUST TO SHUT DOWN, AND ESCAPE FOR A SMALL AMOUNT OF TIME PER P.M.

ON ANOTHER SUBJECT, ELIZABETH WARREN MAY JUST HAVE TO SUCK UP TO THE MACHINE IN ORDER TO KEEP HER OWN POLITICAL AMBITIONS AFLOAT. $HRILLARY, “NOT THAT I WOULD VOTE FOR HER”, WILL ONLY LAST FOR 4 YEARS, IF ELECTED. SO THEN THE DOOR WOULD BE WIDE OPEN FOR ELIZABETH IF SHE WAS VICE PRESIDENT. THE FACT IS ONE WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT AFTER THE $HRILL HAS ALREADY LOST TO OBAMA, SHE WOULD HAVE DECENTLY STEPPED ASIDE, TO OPEN THE WAY FOR ELIZABETH WARREN. BUT THEN, I’D ALSO HEARD ELIZABETH WARREN IS GOING THROUGH SOME PERSONAL FAMILY STUFF, SO SHE WASN’T READY OR INTERESTED IN BEING PRESIDENT AT THIS JUNCTURE OF HER OWN LIFE. HOWEVER I DON’T HAVE ANY SUBSTANTIAL INFO, IF THIS IS FACTUAL OR NOT.

I fear that $hil will do enough planetary damage with fracking and the TPP in ‘4 short years’ that it will be the end of this country and the living planet as we know it. Already we’re facing worldwide ecosystem collapses and mass extinctions (all caused by human activity) and the poor former-middle-class friends I worked with all my life (who are still alive that is) can’t even afford Obamacare. For me there is nothing. Better not ever get sick or hurt.

I really feel like this is a line in the sand we MUST draw, and enforce. Just say NO to the $hil. Bernie or Bust.

When the best of what the democratic party has to offer, stands down and abandons their posts, you have to wonder just how wicked is that something this way comes? What are they seeing now, or no longer seeing, that has caused them to unanimously abandon Bernie Sanders, a question Michael Wade Douglass poses so profoundly in his latest piece? Has our addiction to perpetual distraction, buried wisdom so deep under an unrelenting profusion of unprocessed and mostly useless information that we may never retrieve it? Is democracy so dysfunctionally comatose that the corporatocracy can just replaced it with an episodic reality TV show, with hyperbolic contestants, leading up to a predetermined winner? Bernie is the last progressive standing. All the others have apparently come to realized the wants of the few outweigh the needs of the many. What kills us will not make us stronger. (jz)

    • Elayne Johnson:

We have not unanimously abandoned Bernie. We will never abandon him. Don’t believe the MSM because their particular brand of propaganda is, in major part, what allowed Hillary Capone to cheat the way she did. They helped her every step of the way. We will be at the Convention en force, and don’t be surprised if there happens to be a LOT of insurrection and aggressive, albeit non-violent demonstrations and protests. We have nothing left now but our voices and the court of public opinion, which we will use to the fullest extent we are able. If we can’t have Bernie, then the new Republicrat Party can’t have Hillary either. She will have to cheat like an unhappy housewife to get elected, because 91% of Bernie supporters are committed to denying her their vote. Most of us would rather suffer under Trump until someone puts a bullet in his head than vote for Billary. I don’t understand what has happened to turn usually intelligent people into Hillary hemorrhoids, but there are way more of us than there are of them. Bernie’s rallies prove that fact, not to mention the millions of votes in California that have now been counted in his favor. We are standing strong and awaiting our next move at the convention. In the meantime, I’ve made it my personal mission to expose her for the lying, cheating, mother-fracking, stomach robbing corporate whore that she is.

But what of the children of the future?
They should not be punished for this.
Lifetime supreme court members will be chosen by Gop Tea Party…religious fanatics and racists, and all their bigoted agendas will then prevail.
Climate deniers and those against any EPA regulations of clean air and water simply because it affects their almighty profits!
In the hands of the Republicans we cannot fix anything…but within the workings of the Democratic party we could still work together to correct the things that are not right. We cannot allow the Republicans to take this oportunity away from us.
